several years ago I made a deposit at the M and T ATM in Cherryvale Plaza. The deposit consisted of $ 200.00 in cash and a check ( from M and T bill pay) made out to me for $78.00. When checks started bouncing I called the bank and they said the deposit was never made, even though I had a receipt. They agreed to investigate and temporarily removed the charges from my account. within 24 hours I received a letter stating the deposit was never made so the charges stand. They told me the kiosk ATM in Cherryvale is not owned by M and T and even though it says M & T on it, they have problems with it all the time and I should not be using it.
Terrible service. Arrived at 4:40pm and the woman acted like it was too late to help us. She even had the nerve to ask why we waited until the last minute. While we were there she also asked 3 Latino men who looked nothing alike if they were all there together. Insensitive and unprofessional! No thanks, I'll take my hard earned money elsewhere!
I always come here to cash checks and I have Zero problems with anything. Love this bank
ATM ate a cash deposit after closing. Getting to a human on the phone took forever!! Still not resolved. It is as though someone stole $1300 from us. A local security guard informed us that this ATM always has problems. This shows a lack of responsibility about the ATMs malfunctioning. Very poor business practices.

I called the banking commission in Maryland only to find out that M & T is out of New York. I sent documentation to the Department of Financial Services in New York. After being a customer of M & T for about 20 years in good standing I was being treated like a criminal by the staff. Finally the Department of Financial Services in New York straightened it out. It took a long time. I never use the ATMs anymore
